IT careers are some of the highest-paying jobs in the Cleveland region with a median annual salary of $78k. They are also some of the most in-demand by local employers, with five of the top twenty in-demand jobs coming from the IT sector. Despite high wages and excellent career advancement opportunities, area companies are having a hard time filling available openings. The number of IT credentials awarded each year in northeast Ohio significantly lags behind employer demand causing a large talent gap.
To help fill this IT talent gap, Greater Cleveland Partnership has partnered with Tech Elevator, a nationally recognized coding Bootcamp located in Cleveland, to administer an aptitude test to incumbent and displaced workers. This aptitude test can help companies identify employees with a high potential for learning software development skills as well as helping displaced job seekers figure out if they have the skillset necessary to pursue a career in software development.
