About the Event

The Great Lakes Metro Chambers Coalition (GLMCC) hosts an annual D.C. Fly In to connect chamber leaders across the region with policymakers on Capitol Hill. This year we are doing things a little differently and hosting this two-day event virtually. Over the course of Tuesday, March 2 and Wednesday, March 3, GLMCC will host a number of policy sessions with Congressional lawmakers and White House Administration staff.

When registering, you will be asked to indicate which sessions you are interested in attending. We welcome members and partners to attend every session, but understand that your schedule may preclude you from doing so. Please note that speakers and sessions are subject to change, but once a session is confirmed, you will receive an invite with all details to join the session.

If your schedule changes or you're interested in attending additional sessions, you will have access to a full schedule of sessions with all details to join throughout the Fly In.

Invited speakers include members of Congress and the Biden Administration who have jurisdiction over our federal policy priorities, including:

U.S. Trade Representative Chief of Staff, Nora Todd

Chair of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Peter DeFazio (D-OR-4)

Deputy Assistant Secretary for      Communication at the Department of Education, Ben Halle

Chair of the Subcommittee on      Immigration and Citizenship, Zoe Lofgren (D-CA-19)

Ranking Member of the House      Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, Rodney Davis (R-IL-16)

Member of the House Transportation      and Infrastructure Committee, Mike Gallagher (R-WI-8)

Chair of the House Appropriations      Subcommittee on Energy and Water, March Kaptur (D-OH-9)

Senior Advisor to the President and the Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, Cedric Richmond
